As we anticipate the physical building of our new church, we must also anticipate the spiritual building of God’s church through the power of the Holy Spirit!   This is why we will be spending time studying the book of Acts.   Acts is more than a history of the birth and growth of the early church.   It is a guide for us to use as Jesus continues to build His church through us today by His Spirit.   As we meditate upon what Christ did to begin his church, we find clarity about our mission, confidence to fulfill it, and courage to overcome any opposition we face.     Acts shows us what a healthy church looks like and encourages us that we can overcome problems with the help of the Spirit in the same way the New Testament church did!
