- How did you end up in SRQ: My family moved here 1975 when my dad took a job in TV/radio broadcast sales.
- How did you end up at GGC: It was a total “God thing.” While applying for another job as worship leader at a big church out of state, God broke my heart for little Gulf Gate. I was smitten with what I saw God doing here and didn’t want to be anywhere else.
- 6th grade education: somewhere in Tulsa, OK
- College: University of South Florida, Tampa. BA in Music – Vocal Performance
- A surprising fact about you: got to sing the National Anthem in front of 15,000 people. Also, I met my wife in the red light district of Amsterdam, Holland. But it’s not what you’re thinking.
- Starbuck’s drink of choice: any dark roast they are brewing that day
- Culinary guilty pleasure: chocolate covered chocolate, drizzled with chocolate sauce
- Pastimes: playing music, songwriting, grilling carnivorous delights, hiking the Appalachians
- What are you currently reading (not including the Bible): Band of Brothers, Guitar World magazine
- First job ever held: bus boy at El Adobe Mexican Restaurant, now out of business. I wonder if there’s a connection…
- Favorite movies: Lawrence of Arabia, Princess Bride, Star Wars Episode 4, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, The Quiet Man, The Three Amigos
- If your life was made into a movie, what actor would portray you: Jack Black
- What’s your favorite sport or sports team: soccer
- What’s your least favorite sport: ice curling
- Music recently listened to: Bethel Music, Boston, Jeff Beck, The Killers
- Can you juggle: no, but I keep trying. Not a pretty picture
- If you were trapped inside a wet paper bag, could you escape: yes, but just barely
- Favorite flavor ice cream: Ben and Jerry’s New York Super Fudge Chunk
