Dear Gulf Gate Church Family and Friends,
I hope that you are enjoying your summer thus far. I wanted to take just a moment to update you on some of the exciting activities at Gulf Gate Church.
Youth Camp
Student Life Camp 2008 in Daytona Beach is right around the corner (July 7th-11th), and we are very excited about what God has in store for our students. Lives are forever being changed by what Gulf Gate Church has supported through our ministry to youth and their families. Youth Camp is a great opportunity to really pull students out of their everyday routine and fill their hearts with worship, Bible teaching, and a challenge to devote themselves completely to God. Our youth and our adult chaperones are very excited about what God has in store…but we need your help to pull this off. Many of our students need financial assistance in order to attend. The cost of Student Life Camp is $279 per student. Would you please consider helping one of our youth attend this event? We would appreciate any amount you can donate. Family Movie Night
Not to be outdone by the older kids, our Children’s Ministry led by Mandy Smith will be hosting Family Movie Night on Saturday July 26th from 5:00-7:30pm at the church offices. Come enjoy a great night of fun, food, and a movie fit for the whole family shown on the big screen. Childcare will be provided for the very little ones (under age three). This would be a great event to invite friends to join you. Stay tuned for details in the bulletin.
Mission: Nicaragua
Another team from Gulf Gate Church will depart for Nicaragua this weekend, but it’s not too late for you to get in on the excitement this summer. A second team will be heading down on August 2nd and returning August 9th. No experience necessary…just a desire to bring some heaven to earth. For information or to apply for the August trip, call TJ Broom at 356-5359.
Financial Peace University
During the spring, over thirty GGC households benefited from our first offering of Financial Peace University. The thirteen-week class was such a success that we decided to do it again. The fall Financial Peace University will begin on Monday night August 18th. Classes will run from 6:30-8:15pm each Monday evening. Childcare will be provided, however you must register your child(ren) when you sign up for the class. Cost of the class including all materials and refreshments is $99.51. You may register at the Welcome Table on Sundays or call the church office for more information.
Beach Baptism
On Sunday afternoon August 24th Gulf Gate Church will head out to Siesta Key Beach for a Beach Baptism. Mark your calendar for this can’t-miss-event celebrating the God who changes lives.
